We have an immediate need for an experienced and excellent front-office receptionist with back-office Medical assisting experience and EMR experience.
Qualifications:
Excellent phone handling skills, ability to handle high call volume Deep, hands-on experience in Insurance verifications, HMO and prior auth, PPO benefits check Appointments, Check in/out, scheduling Surgery scheduling experience is a plus EMR experience is a MUST (eClinicalworks is a plus) Eligibility verification and Authorizations with Medicare, PPO and HMO/IPA Vitals, history, prepare for doctor, assist in procedure, supplies.
Address all Patient calls, enquiries appropriately.
Responsibilities:
Eligibility verification, Benefits check, and authorization (HMO, PPO, Medicare) Patient appointments, check in/out.
Attend to 60-70 calls per day and resolve patient issues in a timely manner Prior authorizations for for HMO, in office procedures, e-Rx, lab As needed:
Vitals, history, procedure tray prep As needed; Specimen collection, electronic lab and prescription orders As neede:
Send labs, radioloy, Rx electronically Surgery scheduling Handle pharmacy, medical record requests Cleanup, supplies, autoclaving, stocking Job Type:
