JOB
Summary:
Plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resources (HR) department.
Ensures legal compliance and implementation of Imperials mission, talent strategy, administration of pay and benefits, and enforces company policies and practices.
Manages the Front Office/Reception and the facilities of the offices/buildings.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1.
Develops and implements HR strategies and initiatives that are aligned with the overall business strategy.
2.
Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
3.
Manages and oversees employee benefits, retirement program, workers' compensation, and legal employment issues including correspondence with government agencies.
4.
Manages all employee relations issues (disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations).
Partners with management and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise.
5.
Supervises bi-weekly payroll that is processed by Human Resources Specialist.
Acts as back-up to payroll processing.
6.
Supervises Front Desk Coordinator and assures all duties are conducted in a professional manner that makes the best first impression for Imperial.
7.
Acts as Facility Manager to maintain the offices and facilities 8.
Manages annual benefit open enrollment process to ensure Imperial stays competitive in the workforce market.
9.
Ensures that all mandatory training of staff is conducted in the timeframe required for contracts and governmental agencies.
10.
Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
11.
Provide ongoing direction, training and guidance to department managers to assist them in carrying their responsibilities of monitoring payroll and personnel matters.
12.
Through regular attendance of trainings and conferences, maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
13.
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; develops, implements, and monitors policies, procedures, practices, and Employee Handbook to maintain compliance.
EDUCATION/
Experience:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
Minimum 10 years experience in the Human Resources field with 5 years of experience as a Manager within the medical/healthcare industry PHR, SPHR or SHRM-SCP highly desired SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITY:
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Proficient with payroll and time-keeping systems.
