PROJECT SCIENTIST-BIOREMEDIATION
A position is available for a Project Scientist-Bioremediation with GEOSYNTEC CONSULTANTS, INC. in Pasadena, California.
The Project Scientist-Bioremediation will be primarily responsible for providing scientific analysis in support of bioremediation programs.
Candidates for this position should possess a Master's degree in Geosciences, Biology, or a related field; 5 years' experience in Microbiology or Microbiology research; 4 years' experience with biotransformation of inorganic species; 4 years' experience in the use of compound specific isotope analysis for environmental forensics (carbon, sulfur, oxygen, and hydrogen); 4 years' experience in geochemical modeling of aqueous systems; 4 years' experience using molecular biology tools (such as PCR and functional gene analysis); and 4 years' fieldwork experience collecting fracture water, rock cores, and other environmental samples. In the alternative, the company will accept a Ph.D. and 4 years' stated experience. Work schedule is 8am-5pm, Mon-Fri. Offered wage:
$92,726.
