Business Development Manager- IT Services

Reports To: Director of Sales Operations
Compensation: Salary (Exempt) + Incentive Pay


Sell staffing services and IT project based solutions in Information Technology and Engineering
Sell company offered services to existing and new accounts
Develop and nurture relationships with new accounts; develop leads in all sectors
Maintain and nurture relationships with existing accounts

Sell staffing services and IT project based solutions in Information Technology and Engineering.
Call on new prospective users within new and/or current accounts to convince them of the benefits of using Acro's services. Facilitate the creation of Acro's marketing collateral and proposals to prospective clients. Quote prices and persuade customers to increase billing rates where appropriate. Contact current customers on a regular basis to acquire an accurate understanding of their expectations from Acro and communicate those expectations to the appropriate Acro team member.
Facilitate the strengthening of Acro's relationships with customers as part of the Account Service Team by delivering outstanding customer service, visitation, entertainment, and other appropriate methods. Take action to ensure that Acro, as a team, exceeds customer expectations.
Troubleshoot customer service issues and follow up in a timely manner. Assist in resolving consultant service issues and also assist in facilitating performance evaluations, wage increases, etc.
Assist in selling the services of other Acro divisions including the sale of outsourcing and consulting projects.
Document all sales activities in the appropriate database and submit required reports to Acro management. Participate in the development of the annual business and goal planning process.
Work on special projects (i.e.: job fairs, internal teams, etc.). Work closely with other departments and as a team member when required.
Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.


Bachelors degree; and

4-6 years - industry experience selling staffing services and solutions in Information Technology and Engineering.
Prior experience as a practitioner in these fields (IT/Engineering) is a plus.

Able to effectively communicate with all types of people, which include listening and understanding, as well as, conveying ideas and opinions in writing.
Able to do consultative selling and craft business solutions to solve customer problems that include Acro's services.
Able to develop good relationships with various types of people including senior IT and Technical management.
Able to handle conflict well.
Proficient computer skills; especially Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to provide guidance to contract employees and clients regarding employment, staffing, project management decisions

Physical Demands
Frequently sits, walks, and stands.
May be required to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in an office environment.
The noise level in the work area is usually low.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
