Vehicle Description Details This modified 1991 BMW M3 represents the peak of what is arguably the most iconic evolution of the 3-Series, the E30 generation.
Its classic style, superior performance, and several modifications create a unique and exhilarating driving experience.
Dressed in Alpine White II paint with several Evo-inspired body modifications, this 4-seat coupe has a black leather interior and distinctive gold wire BBS wheels.
It has been impeccably maintained over the years and appears as though it's traveled a fraction of the 156K miles on the odometer.
If the original 'S14' inline-four engine and manual transmission were not enough to create an exhilarating experience behind the wheel, this example has been tuned and fitted with performance enhancements including various engine components, a carbon fiber airbox, custom exhaust system, and Rouge Engineering short shifter.
Original leather seating, power windows and sunroof, air conditioning, and the original cassette stereo (with updated speakers) add classic comfort while an exhaustive list of significant service items over the last five years ensures that this sports coupe will be enjoyed for many years to come.
The white exterior was repainted by the original owner (pre-2016) and the clean CarFax report indicates ownership in Virginia and California.
Both the exterior and interior show little wear as a result of great care by past owners.
The mechanical upgrades are well integrated, delivering a smooth and crisp driving experience that allows the driver to feel the road or track through Toyo Proxes tires and upgraded suspension components.
Collectors will appreciate the available service/modification documentation as well as the original BMW tool kit and owner's manual.
This M3 is available in California as a Premium Listing on CLASSIC.
COM and is being offered by The Heritage Gruppe.
About the model In 1986, BMW introduced the original M3 as a 1987 model.
Since then, the M3 has grown into one of the world's well-known performance cars, built over 6 generations.
Of all of the generations of M3 cars that have come after the E30 M3, none have matched the reverence and love the original M3 has fostered.
Fitted with BMW's S14 inline 4 engine, the M3 featured an improved drivetrain as well as a wider track width.
Not only mechanically different from the standard model, the E30 M3 featured vastly restyled panels and bumpers, with only a few panels being shared with the standard car.
The E30 M3 was mostly available in a Coupe body style, although a rare Convertible version was also built.
The most notable variants were the highly regarded Evolution II and Sport Evolution versions, but other special editions such as the Evolution I, Johnny Cecotto Edition, and Europameister were built.
The E30 M3 was built until 1991 and was replaced by the E36 M3 in 1992.
